  • Run a speed test on your phone while connected to the same network as your sync module, and ensure your internet speed is good. You can run the speed test using the Ookla application on Android and iOS.
  • Ensure you are not using a VPN directly on your wireless router, as it can also disrupt the latency and prevent other devices from running smoothly on the local network.
  • Also, make sure the wireless router is close to the sync module so the signal strength is good enough.

All these tests will help you understand the real-time status of your local network and will also help you establish a smooth connection between your router and the sync module.

You may have to refresh your network if you find any abnormality during these tests.

2. Power Cycling Your Router or Modem

And when you open the app, you will see the same error on top of the screen! Well, you can easily and quickly fix this issue by switching to a different WiFi network.

  1. Ensure your mobile is connected to the new WiFi network from which you want to connect your sync module.
  2. Go to the Blink mobile app and tap “Settings” in the bottom right corner.

  2. That is it! You will receive a message, “Sync Module added to the system.” When you see that prompt, tap “Done.”

Following all these steps, you will successfully change the network on your sync module, and hopefully, it will fix the blinking green light issue.

6. Re-add Sync Module to Network

The sync module is deleted from your account and is ready to be added again.

But before adding it back to the app, I recommend performing a hard reset one last time. Press and hold the reset button for a few seconds, and wait for it to restart.

Once it restarts, you can proceed to add it back inside your Blink account by following these simple steps (with images):

  1. From the home of the Blink app, tap the “+” icon in the top right corner of the app to add a new device.
